go to a junk yard and buy one for 20 bucks, galaxies fairlanes mustangs they all should have em, open tracker racing products has a manual steering rebuild kit that is awesome for 349 but its tie rod ends and other stuff but i would get that and a used steering box if i could find one in good condition...but im a racer and i love loose steering, it makes driving exciting

Here is a link to a site with steering box adjustment information.
http://www.stangerssite.com/adjustment.html

Also, as easttennmotors mentioned, there are other components (tie rods, idler arm, etc.) that could be causing, or contributing to, loose steering.

Good luck!

Good to know. At least you are narrowing it down. Hopefully that link to the steering box adjustment page will help you out. Keep us posted. I've never done it and I'm currious as to how much work it really is.
