Hey everyone i'm new and thought id ask the experts of restoration to give me a hand with this one. So i was looking at a moderately old mustang to restore and a 1984 mustang GT is for sale in my neighborhood for 600 dollars. The only problem aside from the body being dented and primed on one side is that the engine once started up makes this knocking noise. So i was wondering if it would be worth getting this mustang (its not expected to be a daily driver just a fun project car) and what that knocking noise could be?

This section mostly deals with 64-73 and 74-78 Mustangs. I believe there is another section for that year but cant give you a link since I've never been in it.
