Default Brake disassembly Q?

I started to disassemble my old Granada setup the other dayso i can get the spindels and caliper bracket but didn't get to far. Got the hoses off but thats about it. Bolts are siezed and will need airgun.

My question is, how do you get the dust caps off? I know they are "pushed" into place, so how do they come back out? I tried to get a screwdriver under that little lip at the base, but it isn't large enough to pry off of. Any help would be appreciated!

try working your away around the lip with the screwdriver and a small hammer when u loosen the nut pull the hub off and reinstall the nut put the hub back up to the spindle and let the nut pull the rear bearing and grease seal out while u pull away from it

Sometimes there is a slight indent on the lip of cap. If not proceed as mentioned above with a hammer and flatblade screwdriver.

Sometimes you can take a pair of channel locks and pull it off by twisting and pulling.

While Im on the subject, I read in a tutorial that you should use enamel for the spindle, not normal spray paint. Whats the difference?

well enamel is oil based so i think that it might help prevent rust better. cant say for sure though.
