OK, I have to draw the line somewhere. I'm guessing "Scott" is not a female name so there will be no group hugging going on here. At least not until we figure out your timing/vacuum/carb issues, and even then I may have to settle for a handshake or a slight nod of the head from across the room! Let us know when you get a chance to follow that vacuum line.

OK. You are correct. The other end of the vacuum line was going into the manifold. My carb had one vacuum connection on the back that was plugged. I pulled the hose out of the manifold and put it on the back of the carb and put the plug on the manifold connection. I kept the other end in the single dist advance while the car warmed up. When the car warmed up I pulled the hose off of the single dist advance to plug it and do the timing but the car stalled. Now it will not start for the life of me. I put the hose back on to the single dist advance and itstill won't start. Any idea why the car starts great when it's cold but I get nothing when it's warmed up?

The vaccum line for the distributor is connected on the passenger side bottom of your carburetor right below the round black choke housing, See pic

Found it. That vacuum location near the choke was open with no plug init. So here's what I have currently. The vacuum hose going from the single advance vacuum to that place Soaring showed me on the carb. I have whatever that vacuum connection on the back of the carburator is plugged. Ihave theold location the vacuum hose was plugged into on the manifold now plugged also. Does that vacuum connection on the back of the carb go to anything? My car will still not turn over when it's warm. I'll get this dang thing running sooner or later with the help of you kind folks... ofcourse.

If you have an open vacuum port or line, then the carb will not idle correctly. Plug off all those unneeded open ports then see if you can get that carb to settle down.

Does anything plug into the manifold vacuum? I think My breakbooster is but anything else?
You mentioned that your brake booster vacuum line was plugged into manifold vacuum. What did you do with that line when you plugged the manifold port? If you disconnected it, make sure you hook it back up before you take it for a spin... that wouldn't be good at all. I think as a general rule, all vacuum lines should be connected to manifold vacuum (either on the manifold itself or on the carb below the throttle plate) EXCEPT for the vacuum advance to the distributor. That one goes to timed vacuum (which is on the carb above the throttle plate).

When you say that your car "will not turn over when it's warm", what does that mean? What is it doing when you turn the key?

I meant it won't start NCT. It try's but it won't get going. Only when it's warm though it seams.
