i think you should move the car around back so they cant see any of it then once you get the motor and tranny in run around the neighborhood about once a week with open exhaust(and find out who complained and give them a little rev) then put your exhaust on it so they cant bitch about it

and we just got tagged with a code enforcement letter on our door today about 2 car doors, a quarter panel, and 4 rims and tires that we had and the very front of our drive way that we just got for my car like a week and a half ago and that is blocked from view by my car when it is in the drive way yet there is a guy who does repairs on cars usually having them up on jack stands for weeks at a time when it specifically says in the code enforcment rules thing that we can only do things like oil changes on our property(although it has never stopped me before)

Home owners associations were started here to keep people from allowing thier houses to looking like junk yards/white trash dwellings..

Personally Im for em.
Yea the start usually is noble, but not unlike government officials, people "elected" to these associations think that it is their job to just keep making rules, one rule after another, after another. They often do this not for the good of the neighborhood, but to make their existance important.

Where I live, there is no active association, but my parents have lived where there is one, although they moved a few blocks just to get the hell away form this association.

A direct TV dish was a no no, even though it was invisible to everyone, unless a person stuck their head over the back fence..

Garage doors can not be left open more than 8", make sure it is not left open 9" or Thelma the busy body will report you to the association, and you will be brought up on "charges" and fined.

Speed bumps are for sure needed in a gated comunity with 42 town homes, who cares what it costs when you can just raise the fees to pay for it.

Should an issue arise where a person might need to leave their home for an extended period, say for a serious illnes that requires extended out of state care, you are not allowed to rent or leasethe housethat you ownfor the time you will be gone. And just for kicks, this "regulation" is not voted in untill somthing like this happens.

This is all real,, sorry, just like everything else, leave it to people to screw up a good thing, with the possible implications as outlined above, I would prefer to take my chances with a messy neighbor. Thanks anyway.

The house looks like its decent but the yard looks like Fred Sanford lives there.
Okay pal, you owe me a new keyboard for that one. I shouldn't drink and read, but you got me.

Not that anybody asked for suggestions, but I'd eighty-six the junk, chain link fence and the window AC unit. Other than that, I love your place. Out here, everything is "ranch style" or a McMansion so it is really nice to see a classic like yours.

Personally Im for em. I keep my house and yard picked up and dont leavestuff scattered. It makes my house and the neighborhood look like crap when others are too lazy to maintain their property. If you took the spray bottle off the fence, moved the motorcycle to the back, picked up the trash in the yard and took the fish tank off the porch maybe they wouldnt bitch about the mustang in the back.

yeah my little brother was detailing his town car while i took the pics and hadnt cleaned up yet the problem with the fastback is that the hous is on the corner and its as out of view as possible. the bike stays up front so its easy to get to and the ground is fairly soft in the backyard so it would be easy for it to fall over. and the fish tank has only been there for a day because we down sized it because it was too large gotta clean it and put it up on the third floor which is a climb

as for the ac unit its kinda hard to not have ac in south ga and if u wanna add central heat and air u have to run all the stuff on the outside of the house and on the third floor.

but i know for one no body property values are being hurt the people next door just paid 525,000 for the house
