Default Looky here what I found!!!

So I'm dripping around on Ebay and I go up to see what Mustang Masters out of Jacksonville is selling off this week.

I believe that some people in this forum have had some dealings with Freddy. He ain't cheap but he knows his Fords and Mustangs and he has the good stuff.

I see this auction for a 1969 or 1970 Shelby GT350 air cleaner. So I drill down on the auction and I see this.

Well then I start thinking about a pile of Mustang parts that one of the fellas hooked me up with a few years back and I keep thinking about this air cleaner that was in amongst it.

Low and behold, I find a standard 69 Mustang small block air cleaner in that stack, put my current chrome air cleaner in place and VOILA!!!

And the best part is....THE HOOD CLOSES!! No interference, the Holley's throttle linkage is not interfered with. It is an absolutely beautiful fit.

Now mind you I haven't restored it yet obviously, but you get the idea. For the record she is down for repairs so disregard the wiring that is somewhat amiss and the excess dust.

So what do you think?! Not that it matters, honestly. I am over the moon about this find!!

Ahh....it's good to be me.

That's about the strangest looking contraption I have ever seen, but if you are happy with it, then oh well.

I am ECSTATIC about it!!

A damn descent rendition of a factory small block Shelby Air cleaner setup that cost medoodily squat!! Does it get any better??!!!

I love factory setups and I swerved into this one.I am obviously not a stickler for "correct" pieces but I do love factory Ford setups and use them every chance I get.

I figure FOMOCO spent a helluva lotta capital and time designing these pieces so when I can incorporate them into the function and look I am going for I jump on it.

take the jig saw and cut that thing up so your just using the base, as it sits now it looks like it wouuld be pretty restrictive on the airflow... my .02

AwHELL naw!!! I ain't cuttin' nuttin!!

If I find that it unacceptably restricts the airflow I will sell the setup on Ebay and make a little coin.

No. I think it has found a home.
