Default 2 tubes

After hooking up the headers, i noticed there was a tube going on to the old exhaust manifolds, it comes from the air/fuel rich, lean dial. Now what do i do with this pipe/tube? Also found the o-ring around the trans dip stick tube leaking, How the hell so you get to the o-ring? Looks like a real tough spot to get to.

I think the tube on the old manifold that you are referring to is for the choke stove. Do a forum search and you will find a bunch of information. Basically it allows hot air to activate the bi-metal spring in the choke housing.

They have adapter kits for after market headers ( http://performanceparts.com/part.php?partID=1354 ) or you could convert your choke to an electric one.

Good luck!

Is it more for cold weather? I don't drive mine in the cold.

The choke is used when the engine is cold. It causes more fuel to enter into the engine so it warms up better/faster. People do run their cars without them, but it's relatively cheap to get the adapter or an electric choke. If you follow the link in the above post, there is a picture of what comes with the adapter kit.

Since you are modifying the car with headers I think the electric choke option is much better, cleaner, easy to install, modern technology, more reliable.... probably cheaper.
