Default Window (rear) leak

G'day - I have a 1970 Fastback. Rear window was removed for repaint. Didn't leak before, but does now since it has been replaced. Window guy who reinstalled it had a go at injecting sealant under the rubber seal, but the problem has got worse, filling the wheel arches in the trunk with water. Anyone know how to solve the problem. Rubber seal is new. The only thing I can think of is to remove the window again and really fill up the seal etc with plenty of sealer - don't think he really did this in the first place despite providing detailed instructions from my body manual.

It took two tubes of 3M Weatherstrip Sealant, 08008, to do the rear window on my 66 hardtop. It does not leak. I would assume that a 70 Fastback rear window should require 3 or 4tubes when you pull the window and reinstall it. I don't know if that stuff is available down under, but that's the best solution. Where did the rain come from? I thought you guys were in a drought.

I had a rr window leak in my 70 notchback.bought a new rubber seal and tried it myself.didnt work.took it to the auto glass shop and asked how much to install the window so it doesnt leak. The guy said he had one of these cars and was familiar with the common rear window problem.I handed over the money and had to bring it back 3 times before it was truly fixed....but it only cost the one price.Make them promise to fix it right guaranteed. This shop made no money from this job. They spent at least 5 hrs doing it.The problem is the windows are too small for the holes. Not the greatest design either.

Yep - absolutely sure - I can see exactly where it is coming from - runs down onto top of wheel arch inside trunk
Thanks for your help
