speedo cable.

ok, today i want to fix my speedometer problem. Can someone post pics of where its connected to the tranny so i can lossen it from there.

Don't have a pic but I can tell you on my 67 C6 it is located on drivers side towards the rear of the tranny. There is a 7/16 bolt holding the tab that holds the end of the cable. Very simple to undo and redo back. Just put mine back in after cleaning and painting the underside of the car. If you do anything to the underside of the car, stick a rag in the hole so nothing gets in the tanny.

i think it's a difference if it's an automatic or a manual.
But on a 65 car there shouldn't bee too many cables going to the tranny.
I'd be surprised if there would be any other on the tranny.
maybe some neutral saftey switch cable but that's electric .... so shouldn't be too hard to find

Here you go. This is on a 66 C4. It's towards the rear on the drivers side. You can see it's right above the transmission crossmember.

If it's manual it should be on the passenger side, looks pretty much the same as in that pic, and it should be the only cable going into the tranny. And yeah, stick something in the hole to keep trash out of the case
