New Antenna
After further review, and a glass of 2000 cabernet sauvignon, I scanned the two pages for antenna installation. The template will probably be in a different scale so use the dimension to locate the antenna centerpoint. Mark it with a dot using a fel tip. Mask it several inches around the mark and re-mark the point. Follow instructions (they are in English for those text messenger types, basic lazy typists and those that English is a first language - is this ok Soaring).

This is great! I printed off the template as it's exactly what I was looking for. Will install tomorrow and let you know how it went. I'm ready for that glass of wine as well, or maybe two.
Thanks,

I've got a new Ford tooling fender to replace the crapola repop fender. I was kicking around the idea of skipping the traditional antenna and using a "hidden antenna" from Custom Autosound or similar. Not only does it get tiring having to deal with a cover when you have a fixed antenna, but I won't have to worry about it getting broken as has happened to me before more than a few times.
Anybody have any experience with one? FWIW, I'll likely only use the stock AM radio.

Success! Thanks everyone for your help. I used the measurements from the template and drilled the holes. I couldn't find a 1 1/8" hole saw so I used a 1 1/4" and it worked just fine. I didn't really have a problem fishing the cable through, either. Now it's time to sit back and have a beer or two as I contemplate what's next.
Thanks,
Bill
