Default Emergency Brake Cable Housing Mount

Anybody got pictures of where the upper emergency brake cable housing mounts in to?

My old cable had this rubber piece on it that plugs the oblong hole in the picture below. I though the cable housing clipped in that oblong hole somehow, but nope.

Assuming it's a 67, there is a bracket that is part of the cable assembly. It can be removed from an old cable assembly and reused.

There should have been two screw holes located to the right of the oval hole used to route the cable housing from the drivers area. The screws are 1/4 sheet metal types so you should have something there.

Keep in mind I weleded up every hole on the firewall because I didn't know what I would be using and what I would not..

Not visible from the inside? You might consider getting the bracket and do it trila and error with the cable installed. Luck would place the new holes over the old.

I would, but I am not sure what the bracket looks like. Anybody got a picture?

I don't have a 67 but I've got the assembly drawing of the bracket installed and I'll scan it when I get back in an hour or two.

Could this be the bracket?

I think it may be. Thank you Jim for the link!

You don't know what it means for the small things. Thanks!
