Thanks for the pics. I am going to try and do something similar.

Is there any way to keep the original generator but generate more amps for the electrical system and the sound system?

Actually if you look at any quality stereo system you will find at least one capacitor. And i am not saying that the gen will handle them but he asked for ideas. And in regards to the concert comment.Concerts about based on how loud something is.Trust me it makes a huge difference in quality,Ive done it I know.If you dont have rears thats your thing and its fine but dont think you know about it all and tell me it does sound better.

I beg to differ that rear speakers dont add quality.I run 6.5 components up front and 6x9 3 ways in the back,2 12's,headunit,and 2200 watts. The sound quality and depth of sounds is way better than with just one or the other like my friends 65.Its a good idea to run an extra battery or cap or both like i did.
I'm sorry but to even mention a cap means you have little to no expereince in quality car audio. If you read the information sticky in the car audio section it might help you get over the idea of a cap. Caps put more strain on your charging system, an additional battery or an optima would only help if the generator is strong enough to charge them both.

If rear speakers are so great, do you go to a concert and turn around, or do you face the band?

TO answer another question CDT comps will not directly fit any kick panels, but you should simply just have to add a spot for the tweeter. I believe that the kicks are pretyt shallow so you might look into the CDT's with the NEO magnets.

I'm not a big fan of caps, but I understand the reasons behind them. I was doing large systems long before caps came out, and when we did start using them the only place we could get them was at army surplus stores. The only reason I would not have one is just because of cost.
I agree with having rear fill in a car. EVERY large system I ever did had rear fill.

The best advice you can take with you on your audio install journey is simply this: If if sounds good to you, who cares what brand it is or what the setup is. I don't think anybody in a classic Mustang is aiming for SQ+ trophies in this forum, so make it sound how you like it. You're the one who has to live with it.

Mass-consumer quality gear is more at home in a loud rumbling classic since there's other auditory pleasure involved in driving these cars. Unless you just want to show off how much money you've sunk into your audio system, then by all means get out your checkbook.

There is a sticky in the audio section if you don't beleive me. You would need around a 22,000 faradcap to equal the output of a battery. I don't beleive you understand the physics of a capacitor, and if you did, you would understand why they put more strain on the charging system.

If you can find me a sound quality competition car with full range rear fill I'd love to see it.At most they would havemidwoofers palying up tp around 500 hz as rear fill, butthat is not neccessary.

All of these concerns should be addressed in the information sticky in the audiop section. It would be great to educate yourself and read it.
