Default Neutral Safety Switch

Can someone please give a brief explanation on how to change a Neutral Safety Switch in my 65 Convt, automatic.

Hello.It's a very simple replacement. You have to unhook the shifter from the side of the transmission, remove the two bolts holding the old switch onto the side of the transmission, unplug the two two-wire connectors, plug in the the new switch wires and bolt the new switch to the transmission.Nothing to it.

If you are as skinny as a rail and have absolutely no gut, then yes. Nah, you need to get it up on jack stands so you have room to move around.

Another good old fashon red neck trick is to drive the car over a dip in your yard and lay in the dip It'll give you a few extra inches. Even us skinny guys need that every now and again
