I found another granada
Sorry for all the 9" threads but Im dead set on getting one soon. Im kinda disappointed it doesn't have all discs but hey...the guy wants $500 for it. I have a 289 that ran before we pulled it. So assuming it has a 9" I think Ill buy it, swap out the rearend and brakes from the front and the engine. Then resell the car, or sell the 289 and scrap the car.

V8 302 running
Auto Tranny - Unknown which kind
Disc brakes in front drum in back
He's gonna check to see what size rearend

Im having such bad luck locating an actual 9" rearend with discs that Im just going to buy a car with it and swap em. Anything local within 50 miles is all drums and they want close to $300 for them. The 302 itself should more than make up for the price the guy wants, or if I decide to sell my 289 instead which will prolly happen.

The same idea has crossed my mind with Versailles. Swap the rear ends and turn it around and resell it.

Thanks. This seems like a good deal, Im going to try and talk him down to $400-450. It sounds like its been well taken cared of, he even explained what he does weekly to it. Im thinking the Engine will more than make up for the price espically if its running.

Go to a junk yard or search craigs list for a 95 on up Explorer. The rear disk brakes will bolt right onto a 9".

I got lucky. When I went to pull the Monarch spindles from the junk yard to upgrade from 4 lug Idecided to pull the rear end too. I would have been happy with a 5 lug drum 8". I hard the salvage guy raise the car for me to work on it and found a 9" rear and i was happy. I pulled the wheels and to my surprise, rotor/caliper. On top of that, it had a 3.00 trac loc installed with the correct yoke for my car. That was 6 years ago at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. They have set prices for all their parts no matter condition, make, model etc. I paid $125 for the complete rear end.
I think I will get this car. Even if its 8" the 302 will be ok with it. I wanted to make my 67 close to stock originally and then buy a 69/70 and get teh big engine in it etc. Rear discs look like they run around $200 so no problem.
