Default Flywheel Dust shield ??

I noticed that the car i am about to pull the engine on(66 convertible) has no dust shield. It's an automatic, so i am not sure what the dust cover looks like. Is it a large one piece unit like the manual trans cars use? Does anybody have a pic. Also, i haven't had any luck finding this part on vendor sites. If somebody could post a link i would really appreciate it.
thanks!

Hello. They call that the inspection plate for some reason. Here's what it should look like.

Thanks! the motor is either a 289 or a 302-not sure yet. i havent been able to crawl underneath the car yet and remove the starter motor to check the block numbers. I assume the plate can be removed easily and is like the early chevrolet 327 engines where the inspection cover/dust shield is held on by about 5 bolts. Is that correct?
thanks again!

Hi again. It's held on by four bolts. It's the same part on a 289 and an earlier 302. If the car has a C-4 transmission, then it's the part shown in the pictures. Happy hunting.

Actually, on a C4 transmission, it's held on by two 5/16-18 x 5/8 hex head bolts with an attached split ring lock washer (Ford p/n 42719-S8). They were zinc plated from 64 to 67 and phosphated 68 and later.

Hi again.Yup. I should have been a little more specific. There are two bolts at the bottom that actually hold the thing on.It tucks up under the big plate that's between the flexplate and the block and you have to just loosen the two bolts towards the bottom of the other plate to tuck the inspection plate under the other one. If you look at the pictures you can just make out the other two bolts. But yes, there are only two that that go through a hole in the inspection plate

Hello. They call that the inspection plate for some reason. Here's what it should look like.
What it's really for is toservice the transmission. You have 2 1/8" pipe plugs on the converter to drain the fluid. Without the plate you would need to remove the transmission to replace all the fluid.
