Default Rack and pinion

Just a heads up to anyone thinking about going with a rack and pinion setup... DO IT ! This changes the way the car drives completely andgets rid of the infamous Mustang steering wander problem. I can't overstate the way this changed my car's steering and handling it drives like a new Mustang! There are several companies out there with different options depending on your setup. I used the Unisteer rack and pinion in my 69 Mach 1 with a 429 Cobrajet conversion and shorty headers and the install went OK . It takes about 10-12 hours of labor and a hoist would help alot. It's the only way to go.

I love my rack and pinion. It jamz!! No more wandering aimlessly along the highways and byways. Wherever you point it is where it goes. Right now.

For the record, I did the flaming river setup, with column and have 0 (zero) complaints.

There customer service has been very helpful.

I just tightened up the backlash for the sector gear in my ol worm and recirculating ball and the problem went away. It's still the stock gearbox from 67 too And a proper alignment helps too

My car is a right hand drive 65 coupe and I am getting RRS installed in Brisbane Australia in a couple of weeks. I have had trouble getting people to give me feedback either way if it makes that big of a difference. Gives me a piece of mind that it will drive a lot better. Thanks

This is not the same as R&P by any stretch of the imagination...
