But be sure you block your rear tires with a brick or chunk of wood and set your hand brake. I would also put some jack stands in other areas. If you use a piece of lumber on top of the jack stand you can use the frame rails. Jack the car up and then put the stands on the rails with wood between the stands and rails , then let the weight of the car go on the jack stands. I use every jack stand that I have in my shop which is 6. Whenever I have to crawl under Ol' Yeller I cringe every time I think of the weight of that car on my noggin.
