so i'm getting ready to change my 68 over to a 5 speed, i have all the parts but i have an original auto console for it. does anyone know the exact differences between the auto and manual consoles? is it just the top plate that's different or what? could i just get a manual top plate and make some small modifications to fit the shifter or will the placement be way off? i like the console and i know it's pretty rare, and i don't want to have to dig for a manual console.
