Micro Brake Lock.
Have you guys ever heard of a micro brake lock? Or should I invent one.A guy I know said I should get one for my car. I vision a distribution block type of thing that will lock you brakes when activated. Simplyhold downthe brakes when you stop and then press a button (which can be hidden)that activates a valvewhich will close the brake lines locking the fluid in the brakes. Is there such a thing and is so where do you get them? I tried a google search and coudn't find any products. Thanks.

I think you're talking about a Mico Lock which is a brand name which has been used generically, kind of like bandaid and coke. www.mico.com

I was thinking of micro lock and not a line lock. I don't have access to ebay at work but the site looks like that is the direction I am looking. I want something that locks all 4 brakes. Kind of a non-traditional theft prevention. Doesn't make all the noise and can be very discrete. Thanks for the link.
from that website (mico.com) it looks like these are for heavy equipment/delivery applications as temporarty backup to the parking brake - not extended use parking brakes?
too bad, still haven't gotten my p-brake adjusted to work correctly w/ the ssbc rear disc brakes...

You might want to check with a dune buggy supply, many years ago theysold a locking device similiar to what you described. It was used as a parking brake. You would put your foot on the brake pedal and then depress the plunger on the locking device and it would keep pressure locked on the wheel cylinders until you pressed down on the pedal again.
And they didn't work that well. I had that setup in my sandrail and took it out. Besides, it was a single line brake lock. A 68 has a dual master cylinder so where would you put it? Fronts or rears? Or two?

Like Jim says, the Mico lock isa pretty crappy parking brake. Not only are they prone to bleeding down after awhile, they provide no backup to the hydraulic brake system. FWIW, Cal4Wheel does not allow them in lieu of a functioning parking brake on their organized runs.
