wheels
65-6 mustangs have roughly 11 inches between hard contact with the leafs and hard contact with the fender (regardless of fender rolled or not). This also doesn't take into account the wheel wells are curved so even if you have next to zero clearance to the leaf spring a 26 inch tall tire will also contact the top of inner wheel well so this area needs to be either mini tubbed or hammered out of the way.
Some cars (because of tolerances that suck) don't even have 11. For example on my driver side I have 10.5 on my passenger side I have 11.5
With all that said...what size tire do you want to run in the back? Because any of the tires that will fit on the car properly fit perfectly on an 8 inch rim. For example my 255 40 17 tires fit pretty well on my 65 with the rear lips rolled.

dodgestang, do you think 245s on a 15x8wheel will fit in the back on my 65? I was thinking 225 on 15x7 in front because I know there's less room up there. I just want good traction in the front forstopping, and as wide as possible in the back without rollingthe fenders. What areyour thoughts?
