Default Look at this rusty hole

So while my dad started the welds on the floor I took some pics of the rusty areas and wanted to share this nasty spot on the Passenger side rear window. First picture is an upside down look.

Were not quite sure how to fix this without screwing up the holes for the chrome that goes around the window.

The driver side also has a couple holes but they look rather simple to fix.

I don't know except maybe POR15 it real good, then fill it in with something like JB Weld, then smooth it down and redrill the holes.

I dont think we'll start fixing holes until the car gets blasted, that way we know exactly whats rusted and how bad.
What do you think if we filled it in with a welder and grinded it down smooth? And re drilled the hole..

Welding it and grinding it down is the preferred way. That's what a good body shop would do.

Those areas look fairly flat. I would cut it out and make a patch for it. Should be simple depending on your skill level but doable either way. Good luck
