When you start a cold engine, push the accelerator to the floor twice and let it come up completely. The engine should start immediately. You say that is what is happening and that you are getting a blue spark. So, what is your problem now?

I was having hesitation when I let off the clutch. Think I found the culprit... a connection was loose going to the coil... the wire was a little frayed. I spliced it and the car seems to be running ok now. Thanks for the help fellas....

had a pertonix go bonkers on me,,,,ran at normal speeds ok, punch it ,,,and it was ok,,,,BUT AT A SLOW INCREASE OF SPEED,,,, and don't ask who, how or why it just caused the car to stutter, stall to the point of almost breaking ny freaking neck,, it was totally unreal,, I had a pertronix I and swaped it out and problem fixed,, pulled my receipt and shipped back and layed out how I rebuilt the carb, new volt reg ,, new battery, new plugs and wires, new distrib,, new ,,new,,, new and the response was A) a new unit,, and B) it wasn't their fault,,, now I gotta say 2 things 1 at least they honered the warrany, BUT what the ((*&& when I spend a small fortune replacing eveything else and then put a pertronix I in and it fixes the problem ,, ( and a major one at that) and they still claim it's at my end,,,,,wel ya gotta wonder
