Default my new 65 fastback

ok well i have a 65 fastback and it should be getting out of the body shop within the next couple of weeks. white with bluepainted on stripes and black interior.soo the exterior and interior should look great..

first where can i find some 17 in deep dish bullits ???

and heres my main focus, should i just completly change out the major parts on the engine. like cams, heads, carb, intake manifold and such, or should i just save the money for a new crate engine and i would like to have around 400-500 hp if i end up doing the swap? if so whats the one i should get? and what kind of power would i make justkeepingthe 289 and doing like what i said?? also if i do an engine swap how hard is that and what other stuff would be need to be done.

any suggestions?

Cost / Reliability / Horsepower

Pick any two...

A stroked 351 is a nice motor to make that kind of power. That way you don't have to stress it to get that kind of torque/HP.

well my major factor would be cost.. but i also need it to be trust worthly cause its my DD.. now .. right now i just cant stand that stock 289.

should i just keep that block and do stuff to that. i think that would be the cheapest way right. also what kind of power would i be makeing after all the major parts or replaced??
