Default Coil

My coil started leaking oil yesterday so I replaced it with a coil from a 65 mustang. The old thing has been sitting on my shelf forever. It runs the car just as good as the newer pertronix blaster. It seems to be compatible with myMSD also. Are there any Dyno results out there that can show a real power improvment by having a super high voltage coil compared to stock?I started it cold this morning and found no difference in idling cold with no choke assembly.I wonder if its really worth it to buy anything but stock.
