superman, did you get your bracket mounted up? I'm going through the same thing right now for my 67 289 and trying to verfiy where the bracket goes. The brack is different for 65-66, as well as 67+ with small block or big block. Here's some pics from NPD

A friend of mine sent me this picture of his 67 289, though says it was not a factory PS car so can't confirm if mount location is exactly correct. According to NPD, 67 mounts to the shock tower rib.....so his pic looks like it's at least in the right area. He said his is mounted to the top motor mount bolt closest to the shock tower. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

Veronic, great pics...but is your car a 65-66?
I'm going to go out later this week and try to install mine, would appreciate if anyone could confirm the 67 289 mounting location.

That's where the bracket is supposed to go but when you modify your carand things don't fit, it's up to you the determine the best way out. Granted, stock is a good starting point, but you cannot expect all the clearance to work from a designed system to your current installation. You may have to get a custom built pair of hoses.

i had to change the location on my because of the tri-y headers i have so i mounted mine not to far from that location

I have been searching all over the internet for a couple of pictures of the power steering hose bracket. When I open this thread, I don't see any pictures just [IMG] code. Does anybody know how I can get these pictures or why I am not seeing them?
