I started shaving my gutters a while back but because of deployment, school, and work I haven't had time to work on it anymore. So far I have cut about 50% of each side. I don't wanna cut them comepltely until I can weld up what has been cut off. Once I have welded some of it I go ahead and cut the rest off. My car has been parked for almost five years now. I gotta get on it.

I want to go with realistic flames that is if I can figure out the technique to do it my self. I like rally sripes but my wife doesn't and since it is her car I am trying to make her happy as well. If I cant figure out the real flame I will put rallys and hide ghost flames in them. Powder coating is one option I hadn't thought of But I heard somewhere there is a trim kit or a window rubber kit to replace stock and get rid of the chrom. Deviousfred are you cutting at the roof line or are you removing gutters back to the rubber moulding? Mine appear to be spot welded to the underside of the roof..

I'm actually cutting right where the two meet. I have all the pictures on my old computer. I'll see if I can salvage a couple.

Ok, here are some picture where if you look carefully you can see the front and rear have been cut but not the center along the roof line. I still need to go through and weld then finish cutting.
