Default Windshield wiper Motor Conversion?

Anyone converted a 65 wiper motor (single speed) to a newer multi speed motor?

I upgraded my single speed 66 to a two speed relatively easy. From there you can get a wiper delay from JC Whitney and that's about it. I put a wiper delay on a 84 Ford Van for a friend and I think you need a two speed system to make it work. Don't remember why.

Thanks for all the input. Think I can muddle way thru now using 86 F250 (back yard ornament)donor wiper parts.
