I was in the 214th Army band at Ft. Richardson back in the 60's and lived in an apartment on Sharon street off of Boniface in Anchorage. At one point in time I was driving an MG midget with a rag top. I smile every time I think about me driving that rag top in the dead of winter at 20 below 0.

im in college, i work full time for the summer, i make pretty good money for what i do, i work at albertsons.[8D][&:][>:]
Keep it going and do not at any point work full time during school sessions (unless you have to). I completely regret working full time before finishing school. I ended up quitting school because work was consuming too much time. I am fortunate enough to have landed a good job (i make $31/hour) but here I am 27 years old still trying to get my bachelor's degree.

if they dont call you in a day or 2, call them and ask if they have reviewed your application

thats how i got a job

never call physically go to the store and check with them so them your really intrested cause any joe blow can turn in 30 applications at numerous places and then make 30 calls

Good luck on the job. Nice to see some motivation out there. I see too many kids rely on mom and dad. It means a lot more to you when you work hard for your money and get it for yourself. A little help form the parents is good, but if they pay for all there is no respect in that.

I live in texas also, and my first job was/is at Tom Thumb. (Known as safeway or Randalls in other states). I started at 7 dollars as a cashier. I'm only able to work 20-30 hours a week because of sports and stuff. But i'm slowly saving up for my mustang. My dad said he will match whatever I raise so it shouldn't take that long. Already have 6-7k (including the match) so I could buy one, but I wouldn't have enough money to restore.

Yeah and once my dad realizes how much hp they can put out i'm sure he would let me buy that...

Plus i'm pretty sure I would go out and try and impress some one and end up dead... But yeah.. it sure would be cool to own one of those.
