I got a call 2 weeks after I sent my application in (over the internet, it was how they reccomended it) asking when I was avaible for an interview. Not sure calling every week is such a smart idea.

Dustin, I didn't know there was another member in AK cruising this forum. I thought it was just me and 05SDI. Did you buy the Mach1 on craigslist that was advertised last summer for $7500? Your car, from the front, looks like the one that was advertised.

Good luck on the job. Nice to see some motivation out there. I see too many kids rely on mom and dad. It means a lot more to you when you work hard for your money and get it for yourself. A little help form the parents is good, but if they pay for all there is no respect in that.
I remember watching a "storytellers" show on VH1 a few years back with Bruce Springsteen about the time his "Devils and Dust" album came out. He said something that stuck with me at the time for some reason. A Google search shows that he was paraphrasing from an interview he had done earlier in 1995.

GW: Are you worried that your success will keep your kids from having the same kind of experiences you had as a child?
SPRINGSTEEN: It will change their experience tremendously from what my experience as a child was. A friend of mine, Van Dyke Parks, who worked on one of my records, came in the studio one day, and we got into this discussion about how I was concerned about my children growing up differently than I did. And in retrospect I felt that a lot of things about the way that I grew up were good, because I struggled and had the opportunity to make some thing from not a whole lot. He said, "Well, you give your kids the best and the world takes care of the rest." And I think that's what every parent tries to do. That's what I try to do with my children. And also not to put them in any circumstances where the distortions of the experience are too overwhelming, or too unusual, and then just protect them as best as possible.
In my experience, it is not what you are given, rather what you do with those gifts.

Hey all, thanks for all the support. My friend says that his "interview" was just to go in and they have him sign a few papers, and then hegot to start.
