what is the torque box?

 

torque box its a piece of metal gets between the end of the front frame rail and goes over to rocker panel basicly stiffens ups the car. 66gtkfb i have a vintage air kit that dont use the cowl vent heat worked fine last winter in kentucky

 

Does it recirculate the air inside?

andrewmp6 is that an after market part or stock. You wouldn't happen to hav a pic of that do you. I cant picture it in my head.
