Default brake pedal height adjustment

Help, Please!!! I just replaced all the brake lines, master cylinder, and brake booster in my 68 mustang. The car is an original power brake/front disc car. When I was finished replacing everything I noticed the brake pedal was very close to the floor. I did look for the adjustment on the brakebooster rod inside of the car (rod that attaches to the pedal) and there was no adjustment. How do I adjust the pedal higher?

My guess is that the rod supplied with your new booster is not the right one, or, if a new rod was not supplied with your booster and had to use the old rod, the booster is a little different, by thesocket for the rod being deeper that the booster you took off.

You might see if you can get a rod from the booster supplier.

You were supplied with the wrong booster. It's a common problem.
