for my exhaust i was thinking hooker headers with true duel pipes then purple horney mufflers then ending it with the purple horneys right after the rear axel. does any one have input on the purple horneys i heard them on a 71 fastback and they sounded loud as hell. but are they a good buy? do they last long?

 

If loud as hell is what you want those mufflers and dumping them will certainly get you results you want. Just don't plan of buying a stereo system for that car.

straight piped is when you take off the mufflers (and cats on a newer car) and just let the exhaust come right out of the headers or the exhaust manifolds.

 

purple hornies you bolt straight on your headers and thats it its a muffler with a turn out welded on it made by flowtech. i had a set on my truck they was cheap and didnt last more then a year
