pertronix is a very good product crane also make a point less system plus this one has a built in rev limiter!i have ran both on my 65 and i prefere the crane unit, and sice its allhiden under the dis.cap no one knows you have a rev limiter.every time my ex would borrow my mustang i would always lower the rev limiter to about 2800 rpms.

OK, started to remove points etc. then found that my dizzy is for a 390 2-v. I am pretty sure I have a 289 2-v. I think the PO changed the dizzy. Will this have any effect down the road. Installed dizzy # C6AF-K, by my book should be C5AF-N Thanks
If your distributor was working well with points, then the pertronix will work even better whether it be a distributor for a 390 or a 289.
