i have a 65 mustang inline 6 ......only had for a week or two....its was running great till one day i start it, as soon as i start the engine i wants to die unless i give it gas, and eventually will die as soon as i take my foot of the gas pedal. i know its most likely a proble w/ the Carb sooo i would like to know any trick tips or suggestions to help me fix this problem....in detail since im a complete idiot (newb)

 

once the car warms up cause if so i would say you have a choke problem

 

Have you installed a new fuel filter? Ifnot, do so because a bad fuel filter will cause this problem.
