Default Tire help!

So, I have searched the tire fitment charts in the FAQ but I cannot find the answer to my question.

I have 14x7 outlaw style wheels that have around 3.75 inches of backspacing. What is the largest tire size I can run front and back?

I was looking into 225/60/14 and 215/70/1.

Any suggestions?

I've been asking everyone about that for a few months now. From everything I've heard, you should be able to do anything up to 235 with no problems, and probably up to 245 in the backif you roll your fender. So, you're 225s or 215s should be fine.

BTW: I found this last month, and it has been very helpful to me in making sure I get the right sidewall height.

oh, as long as we're talking about wheels/tires-

I called Unique Performance yesterday (endorsed by CShelby and CFoose) and they told me I could put a 15x8.5 rim on the back of my 65. I hate to say they're wrong, but I everyone else I've spoke to said that's too wide. Any suggestions from you guys?

The Torq Drims I want don't come in an 15x8, so I'll have to step down to a 15x7 if I can't make the 8.5" work.[:@]

The only tires in a 235 I can find are going to make it look like a damn 4x4.....

So far I think a 225/60/14 is the ticket.

yeah, it's been hard enough for me tofind wide tiresthat fit a 15" rim, so I'd guess 14" limits the selection even more.
