Mine is darn close to 100% original. The only thing I've changed is the front disks (which were technically an option back then) and PO drilled out new radio holes. Since the dashdamage is done, I take advantage of a better radio.

Going forward, I'm very likely to make mods to it, so long as they're parts I can easily unbolt and return to factory specs.

I'm very against us having 2 sections. Mainly becasue I don't see a point in having a "stock" or "unmodified" section. I mean, you can open a shop manual, or any number of books to see how things came from the factory. The restomod stuff is cutting edge and that's why I learn 10x more from the restomod guys than I do from the classic guys.

It was bad enough having to search3 places for my 3 different types of mustangs, but at least they were all from different decades. Irefuse to have to search 2 different locations to get answers on the same car.

So, why the continuation? The answer is because Mustang owners want to put a label on their cars. Some are proud of the term Original, unmolested, restomod, modified, street machine or whatever. I can't say anything about how I feel because this thread will continue for about three days and 50 posts. For the health of the classic Mustang forum, lets drop this discussion for at least a month so that scabs have time to heal. Agreed?

mine is definetly modified with alot more to come. If it wasn't for me taking on the challenge to rebuild my stang it would probly be destined for the car crusher in a few years because the previous owner didn't know how to fix her and most people dont want to tackle a project of the magnitude of most our rides. So mod or stock who care. Be gratefull that these beautiful cars are getting the love and attention that they greatly need and deserve.

My old 68 was "restored" as it was a rather nice origianl V8 car and I couldn't ever quite see modifying it. If I still had it I might. I now have a very base model 67 six cylinder coupe I feel free to do as I please with, and I am. The installation of an 8 point rollbar says a lot just by itself.
I dunno, I don't see a "split". No harm in adding a "restoration only" type section though. If there are enough specific such posts to merit one.
