Ahh well you see i dont agree with seatbelt tickets and as far as unfair cops giving me tickets. I get out of ALL my tickets PERIOD. I use the LAW OF DISCOVERY LOOK IT UP PEOPLE! btw the judge will not be happy when you follow through so be prepaird to stick to your guns.
I looked up the Law of Discovery and I'm still kind of confused about how it works or what it does, could you explain it little more?

The law of Discovery Is the evidence or proof that will be used against you in a Court of Law. When you get a ticket and go to the court all that ticket says is " this officer saw you commit this infraction" When an officer writes a ticket he also writes a written report on the citation number# whatever the ticket number is
You go to the Prosecutors court and ask for a copy of the officers written report citation number # you wont get it though... thats good . You then go to the District Court with your Ticket and make sure you check Contested hearing. And have them put that in a folder with a copy of the paper requesting the officers written report . Bang ! your done they will never send you that copy of the officers written report and you win in court

I have only gotten about 4 tickets in my life. The most memorable one was while I was still in high school. I had a black 79 CJ5, and "we" were cruising during lunch, and the "we" part of it was 5 people in the back and 3 people in the front. I only got a warning.

Ya I'm not a big fan of the seat belt laws either. If you dont want to wear them then you shouldn't have to, it's your risk, just dont ask for my tax dollars to suport you when you made the choice not to wear one and cant work because you were hurt.
I disagree. If your dumb butt gets in a wreck while not wearing a seatbelt, you will clog the medical system with your needless injury while possibly depriving others timely care. This in turn helps drive up costs for everyone. Your decision not to wear a simple seatbelt affects society as a whole, not just you!

Wow, the situation that prompted this thread is total BS. I've personally had cops get chewed out by the judge over things not even that bad (those are good stories). If your friend has a half decent lawyer, that cop should be crying when they're done with him.

Worsttickets I've witnessed:

1) Speeding ticket written to my friend who was riding a bicycle too fast

2) Recently, my friend got a ticket for having one light out on her license plate. She didn't pay it in time, and it turned into a $1200 fine and she had a warrant out for herarrest until she got them the $$$$(which got her dropped by her insurance company). All because a 25c bulb went out.[:@]

About the seatbelts, I live in a state where you get fined for not wearing one in your car,but on a motocycle there is no helmet law.

My best friend in High School had a 1965 coupe 289 4-speed. We put a set of headers on it and he had bought Smitty mufflers. For those to young to know them they were made like a glass pack only they used steel whool instead of fiberglass. They crackled like straight pipes.

I told him he was going to get pulled because it was unbearably loud even in the car. Sure enoughhe test drives it and gets pulled.

The cop says, "Your car is kind of loud son."

He says ,"I don't thinkso."

Cop says, "I suppose you're going to tell me those are factory mufflers?"

He said,"Well, a factory made them."

The cop turned away but was laughing so hard he was shaking. He didn't even write a warning, just told him to quiet it down.
