Default Summit brand parts

I was wondering if anyone has used the summit brand parts on their cars?? Are they any good? They are quite a bit cheaper, but I dont wanna sacrifice quailty to save a buck or two.

I don't think you can lump all of their parts into one group. I mean, yes they have Summit's name on them, but they're most likely made by all sorts of different companies. So I'd guess some parts will be better than others.

What kind of parts? The Summit Performance stuff is great. I've never actually used it but I know a lot of people who have.

I am mainly looking at electrical stuff. Alternators, starters, and I found a distributor for a gm, not sure if they have one for ford.

I would feel perfectly safe going to them for stuff like that. Summit has developed a good name for themselves. Anything they put their name on should be at least satisfactory.

That is pretty much all I am going for with this engine. Once it lets go and dies, then I will replace the whole thing and then use really good parts. But as is, whoever rebuilt my engine before I bought it did kind of a shoddy job. So I am not really sure how much life is left in it. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.

I have bought lots of summit brand parts and never run into any problems with them. They are much cheaper then the name brand parts. Im sure that if u ever have a problem with their parts they will send u a new one or refund u. You can save some nice cash! something i dont have much of.

FWIW, I bought a Summit hi-torque min starter and it is nothing more than a Pro-Torque starter (name engraved on the front)with a Summit Racing sticker slapped on it. Works great! The good thing about Summit Racing is that they have a very good return policy, so if you'r not satisfied, take it back.
