Brake lines
Does anyone know of anyplace that sells a complete brake line system from the master cylinder to all four wheels with the proportioning valves and everything in the kit for a 70 fastback? I can find them seperatly but thought it might be easier and or cheaperto order a whole "kit"
Thanks for any info

RE: Brake lines
I ordered a complete stainless set from Laurel Mountain Mustangs. Had everything but the flex lines (going to to calipers and the rear) and proportioning valve. Most if notall will sell those individually.
Oh, forgot to mention. Once you buy a non-original set of these, it will take some finagling to get them to fit. So don't expect a perfect fit.

I just went to NAPA and bought the brake lines myself. It was a TON cheaper than ordering the pre bent. and you can buy a bending tool for like 5 bucks

Also, an easy way to do it is to buy some cheap stiff wire such as electric fence wire. Then use the wire to test the routing and the bends. Then use the bent wire as a template for making the bends needed in the brake lines.

RE: Brake lines
I just installed all my line and I ordered the pre-bent lines from NPD. The front driver side was to short so I had to buy a new line and do the bends. The line from the proportioning valve to the rear was to long and I had to shorten it by making a loop. I don't think I would want to install them again, it was a pain.

RE: Brake lines
The lines I got only needed a little tweeking. Everything else fit really good. I did not have a hard time at all installing my pre-bent lines. Same with my tranny lines and fuel. Only had to tweek to fit.

Thanks for the replies people, looks likeI will end up bending some of my own.Did some checking around and your right its just as cheap to bend your own and get the fit you want.
A couple of questions sinceI dont have much experience with braking systems, does it matter ifI move the proportioning valveover tothefenderwall a little more as long as it stays below the master cylinder? and does it matterwhere the splitter for the rear brakes is as long as its on the rear end?
Thanks for any help

Disregard my response, I read that wrong. I thought you were asking does it matter which end you connect the rears into.
