this sounds like a really easy thing to do. is it easy for someone who hasn't done it before? would this be all i need?

I had petronixx in my 66 but I added some better heads and upped the compression so for the added benifit of a hotter spark I went with a duraspark set up I purchased at napa with the coil and reman distributor the whole set up was less than 150.00 and easy to wire up!!1 use a 85 mustang as the base to order parts!!! for the price you can't beat the reliability and performance which worked alot better than the petronix I can push 6300 rpm's with no ignition break down!!!
Thats a great kit for a great price, I don't think you can beat that price. I wish I had that option. The swap out is easy, it will take 30 min tops.
Good luck and enjoy.

its an easy 10 minuite install! Mine works great. just a word of advice, leaving the car in the Run position with the car not running will fry the modual. My car stalled when i was fiddling around with tach wires when i accidentally crossed the wrong ones, came back an hour later, and relized i left the car in the run position, and the modual was fried, i learned by my mistake, always doublecheck u turn it off. -Jon

You'll spent the price of a lifetime supply of points and the time needed to changethe next 20-30 sets of points.Meanwhile you don't need an extra anything.
