Does your uncle know about wet sanding and buffing that clear coat to get that nice looking paint job to sparkle? That's what I would do.

Is it your car? If it isI don't see why you would worry about your uncle's opinion that much. Great looking job though. [sm=smiley20.gif]
Sounds like the uncle is a major source of information and assistance. When I'm in the uncle's position, I develop a bad attitude when my instructions aren't followed. May be I should be a better person, but that's what self improvement courses are for. I vote for following the uncle's advice.
When I give what I think is good advise to my kids, family, or friends, and it is not followed, I don't get upset, I just savor the flavor when I get to say "I told you so". and rub it in, over and over and over.. I get to do this with my brother in law all the time,,,, I love it...

Heard that James. My nephew graduated from high school last year, and has an 02 GT. He ordered 410 rear gears with the intention of having his uncle Glen help him put them in his Mustang. Needless to say, the gears are still sitting on the work bench.

I just thought it would be the best route to do what my uncle says considering he was nice enough to paint my car for free (except for a few lunches here and there). Glen, we're planning on buffing it to really make it sparkle, it's going to really get noticed! JMD, we actually painted it in my uncles shop, it was a pretty good place to paint it except for when we sprayed the clearcoat it got pretty foggy, but I guess that's to be expected.

What do you mean by how it blended? Is it a streak in the clear from not keeping itwet enough while working your way around it? Awesome color choice. Did you paint the side stripes?

Thanks for all the compliments you guys. Jaw66, yes I did paint the side stripes on, they were a challenge even with the stencil, but we got them done, and if I do say so myself, they look great.

I think if your uncle is the one who painted it, and hes not happy,(and it doesn't cost you a thing) then let him redo it. I know how he feels, not with painting, but as you know its a guy thing. If we do soething and we arent happy with it, but everyone else is, we still know something is wrong. I say let him od what he wants.

That's exactly what I'm going to do is let him redo it. I want it done right, and quality takes time. The only thing I'm not happy with is my wheels though.[:'(]
