Is there any chance of the aircraft remover causing any damage to the intake manifold?
I have used this stuf a whole lot, I have never had it hurt metal of ant kind. I have used it on aluminum many, many, times.

And read the label. If is says it contains anything acid, avoid it.

You are obviously avoiding my suggestion to paint it so you don't have constant maintenance issues with polishing it. OK, sniff...sniff. I am shunned but can take the heat. Check this out if you want to keep polishing it. http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/polish.htm

I have literally used gallons and gallons of the stuff on aluminum, it will not hurt the manifold!

I clear coated the aluminum manifold on my sons truck, it looked nice. It still looks nice, but after a couple of years it is begining to peel in a few spots.

Well yeah! Duh!! Clear coat is nothing more than a plastic coating as such. You need to have it powder coated.

Yea, at the time I didn't even think about powder coating, I bet I will next time, (thanks Glen!)

Here I am talking about powder coating, high heat painting and such but I just have an iron intake manifold that is spray painted from a 6 dollar can. I guess I need to stop giving advice that I haven't actually experienced, but have just read about.
