Default heater core

I have a 1968 coupe 289 V8 w/o air. I need to replace the heater core. I figured that I would also replace the cardboard plenum and seals when I put in the new core. I found the plenum and seal kit with no problem but I can't seem to locate the rubber padding that goes around the heater core. Can I pick that up at my local auto parts store or is there something special about it? Thanks

Was it not an option as part of the kit that you bought the other parts from?

It should be in the kit. If not, I would contact the parts place where you purchased it and inquire if it's a separate piece.
