Man, that'd be a fun road trip...

I've only "technically" driven my car twice, but both times, I got a compliment. Pretty cool, since on my old truck, people used to say "you drive that???"

I think one of the "notice me" attractions onmy car is the Borla exhaust system coupled with whistle of the Paxton supercharger - together they make avery distinct sound... thunder and lightening.

Alomst every timeI'm at a stop light or standing still in traffic I get looks. Even though my car is much quieter than those with Flowmasters, I hope my fellow driversdon't find the sound "obnoxious".

As to being impressed by a car full of High School aged girls snapping photos- it was very innocent and very amusing! I really enjoy seeing people get excited by our cars... that is one of the reasons Firday nights at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, Ca is such a fantastic experience. Hundreds of vintage cars with hundreds of people gawking, talking, sharing, laughing.

It'sgreat getting respect , it's even better giving respect to otherswho have put so much work into these project cars.

My dad had a situation once like the ricer thing you just said. We were in his 65 vette and a ricer pulls up next to us and starts revving his engine. But since my dad is so subtle about his car he didn't even show the dude any attention, he didn't even look over. and the ricer raced away.

Also, on our trip to San Diego, when our radiator hose blew, a ricer pulls up next to our car (we were all in the shade of a tree about 15 yards away and he starts revving it. So not only did he rev it to a broken down car, he revved it to an empty car.

All in all some people are just idiots.

Oh and 1 more story, my brothers friend Ben has a 2000 mustang GT and a dude in a 2002 Mach 1 pulls up next to him and revs it, so Ben revved back and they raced and Ben kicked the living crap out of him. It was hilarious.

I get looks, grins, waves, thumbs up, and questions... but no one has "reved" me yet.

You haven't had anyone pull up next to you and rev their engine telling you they want to race?

Not yet. But I've been itching to explore the top end of the supercharger's ability (assuming conditions are safe).

Well, last year in my class a heavily modded 65 took first place, and he was not a MOCA member. I am a MOCA member, and didn't win anything.
