Default '69 Fuses

Alright, was working on getting my dome light working today, which luckly all it needed was a new fuse, and I ran into some trouble. Attached is a picture of my fuse box as it is now, obviously needes some more fuses replaced. The problem I have is, there's so much going on there I'm not exactly sure what fuse is for what now. I can see they are labeled and most of them I understand what the mean, but as far as the couple places that are missing fuses and the 2 random wires, I'm confused.

That's what I'm hoping someone here can help me with. If possible I'd like to know for sure which slots in that fuse box are for what, and what type of fuse I should be using in each. And if anyone can figure out what those 2 wires are that would be great. The blue wire I think goes back up and through the firewall with the steering column, and the yellow wire goes to behind the dash into either the radio or the climate control stuff. For reference, I do have an aftermerket radio installed and I do have factory air conditioning (although it doesn't work- but that's another issue).

Any one willing to help me out here?

Your picture is too big for my monitor. Edit and embed it in the post and let's try again. From what you said and from what I can see, you may have extra wires added. In any case, the colors of wires added will be easy to follow. Get a better picture and we'll try again.

Eh, sorry, I figured a bigger picture would be better, and I'm on a 21" widescreen monitor so it didn't seem horribly large to me [&:]

Hopefully this one is more manageable? Let me know if you need pictures of anything else, I should be able to get them up assuming I can fit under there to get the picture.

You have what is know in military terms as a 'kluge'. Both of those wires, the blue and yellow are added on - the destination is for you to figure out. Where the blue wire is stuck in there is supposed to be a 20 amp fuse to feed a bunch of courtesy indicator circuits. That was an option and not part of the standard wiring so the lack of a fuse is normal. Where the yellow one is attached only feeds the emergency flashers but would be a good place to tap in for a radio, it's a sloppy hook-up but it's attached on the right side of the fuse. Trace them out, they are not part of a 69 Mustang's system.

I have a 19 inch monitor but your first attachment is just to big. Try it and see.

Alright, now does anyone know what specific fuses I should have in each spot, or just whatever fuse I can find that fits and has a close amp rating?

It tells you on the fuse block what the current rating should be. All are available in your friendly local neighborhood auto parts store.
I took a second look at the wiring diagram (something you need to get a copy of) and the yellow wire is in a 'hot all the time' circuit so if it goes to the radio, it's used to keep the station memory active.

Get some new fuses as well. And, clean the terminals. With corrosion and rust on the ends, you can wind up with all kinds of electrical gremlins.
