The fuel, oil and temp gauges in my 1965 are not working. Anyone ever replaced them, and is it difficult? Should I leave this to the pros?

 

Go to the FAQ section and look up the wiring for you car. You will need this to locate the constant voltage regulator on the back of the instrument cluster which is commonto the gauges that don't register and the item most likely to fail.

Would a failed regulator impact ALL the gauges, including the speedometer?

 

Two different thing, the speedometer is mechanical, the others are electrical.

I have used these guys in the past to clean up my '88 Bronco cluster and get everything tweaked and working right. An old cluster can be a very very sensitive thing. I know mine is going to get sent off in the year.
