Default tach wiring question

ok, so im 99% done with my interior wiring, anyways, i have 4 wires from my tach, black ones goes to chassis ground, green one to negative side of coil, white one goes to light switch, and the red one needs to go to a 12v source, such as anything that turns on when car starts. or to the fusebox, problem, i cant think of anything that will turn on when car turns on, and i cant think of how i have to attach it to the fusebox. theres not how to in these instructions. anyone know?

hey Dude,

I'm sure with a test light from your local auto supply, you can probe the connectors beneath the dash for a continious 12V or switched 12V source. Just do it!

Good Luck

Switched. There may be one under your dash already but I can't be sure, you can look and probe.(Female round, just to the right of the colume under dash). The old test light will show if its key active. I would fuse it also (5amp inline).

Your radio should be on a switched lead. Follow it back and see if it goes.

There should be an ACCY fuse (accessory) position in your fuse panel. Follow the wire coming from that position. It may have a blank place to plug in a connector. Look for that.
