Lifter Bleed Down???Help me Please!!!
I have just overhauled my 289 in my 66 convertible. Everything is new including the Edelbrock Performer heads, intake, carb, roller rockers, etc. On my 4th attempted of adjusting the valves, I noticed the lifters bleeding down. I sent the lifters back to Edelbrock for new ones. They still bleed down. Edelbrock isn't taking blame. I don't know what to do next. Please help if you have heard of this.

If you look at the valve adjustment faq

step 4 is to wait for the "plunger" (actually the hydraulic lifter) to relax.
I'm not sure what problem you are describing?

like, bleeding down while the motor is on the stand? that is normal. if they are bleeding down quickly once you have ran the motor, there is something up with that.
Take a pair of old valve covers, cut the tops of, install them on the car and set the lifters with the motor running then you won't have the bleed down problem.
Lifters bleed down, that's what they do. When the engine isn't running the oil pump isn't making pressure so the pressure of the pushrods on the lifter seat from the valve springs forces the oil out of the metering holes.
