i think you guys are overthinking the situation. the head/intake gap looks weird cause its not bolted down (if im correct) so its just plopped against the gasket.

take it off, clean the permatex off it, apply a nice THICK bead across the front and rear of the motor, and a THIN bear around the water passages on each end of the intake gaskets.

torque that sucker down and be done with it.

Was that intake manifold originally on that motor with those heads?

I would call the machine shop and see how much they took off the block and heads. If it is a lot, you may have another problem. Adding boost with a high compression engine doesn't work very well.

Then I am sorry bud, but that intake doesn't fit those heads.

Two words,,,, "Machine Shop"

It is too hard to tell from the picture, enough to be sure anyway, is there an actual gap between the intake manifold and the head, or is the front edge of the gasket just bent or "deformed"?

This will make a huge difference on what you need to do.

Take it back off, clean it all up and then do a dry fit with no gaskets. You should then be able to tell pretty easily if something isn't machined properly. Like I said in my previous post, mine was not seating properly either until I put about a 1/16" chamfer on the upper outer edge of the manifold to clear the heads. Once you are sure it fits dry, reassemble with new gaskets held in place with the gaskacinch.

ok.. so heres the deal.. i took off the manifold... cleaned it up... i tried a dry fit... with no gaskets... and the manifold fits like a glove... no spaces any where... but one i put the gaskets on.. the space is back. i even made sure that the gaskets did not slip down... any ideas
