Default Power steering fluid or f type tranny fluid?

I was just looking at parts on NPD site-they recommend running F type Transmission fluid in a new power steering pump.
Has any one done this?
Is it a smart move?
Why not power steering fluid?

Type F transmission fluid and power steering are the same animal. However, if it help prevent an anxiety attack, go with the power steering fluid.

I know mine is Tranny fluid. Kinda like it cuz it is red and easily detected for leaks.
